Hello from Dunn again!
In the HUMIDITY! The air is SO thick. It is ridiculous. I guess it
hasn't been much of a bother really except when we are trying to
exercise in the mornings, but still. It is pretty humid.
We had a good week. It was ridiculously slow, but the things we did
accomplish were really good. We had a great lesson with the Hudsons on
the doctrine of Christ this week. It was great. Bruce told us that he
feels like his testimony is growing. Margaret shared a scripture. It was
fantastic!
We had a less active call us this week and ask us where in the
world we had been and why we hadn't been to visit her. ( I was under the
impression that she had moved...turns out she is back!) So we had a
nice lesson with her. She talked about how she knew that the only way we
can have peace and happiness is if we read and pray and come to church.
She wants to make sure she doesn't lose that. It was really neat. I
know that what she said is true. The restored gospel is the only way we
can have true peace and happiness.
We had zone conference on Wednesday. Sis. Welch and Tillman and I
all bought the same dress, but different colors. We thought it would
pretty funny to wear them on the same day. It was pretty funny because a
couple of the elders came up to us about half way through and were
like, "Did you know that you all have the same dress on?" "Did you do
that on purpose?"
Us, "No. We had no idea elders." Those elders are pretty funny sometimes.
I learned a lot of good things at zone conference. Mostly just the
importance of finding balance in finding and making sure we turn every
situation into a good one and using it as a finding opportunity.
We went with the Hudsons to a fireside last night. They bore their
testimonies. It was really neat to hear them. Bro. Hudson talked about
how he felt like he was making a decision for a the first time in his
life. Margaret's testimony was very sweet too.
Well, I am running low on time!
I love you all. The Atonement is real and we can use it every day of our lives.
Have a great week!
Love, Sister J
